A privileged situation
Campo de Arroz is consists of a main house and an independent cabin that can be rented together or separately, located at the foot of the magnificent Comporta rice fields in Lagoa Formosa. A few minutes from the city and the beautiful blue beaches of Carvalhal. This corner of paradise has the advantage of being easily accessible, about an hour and a half drive south of Lisbon in Portugal.
Campo de Arroz is the project of Charline and Antoine. Completed in 2017, the house was designed in collaboration with the architect Luis Pereira Miguel (PM-ARQ), with whom they share their love for Comporta and the same vision of the local building: a luminous architecture, integration with the natural environment, respect for local traditions and the use of raw materials. Campo de Arroz consists of two spaces. The house has an open plan living area with a living room and a fitted kitchen, three bedrooms (including two double bedrooms and one bedroom with three beds), and two bathrooms (including two showers and one bathtub). Outside, there is a landscaped white sand garden, a summer kitchen, a deck, and an infinity pool with sun loungers. The house can accommodate 7 people. There is also a cabin converted as a studio, with a living area with a sofa bed, a kitchenette, a sleeping area, and a bathroom with a shower. The cabin can accommodate 3 people. Both spaces can be rented individually or together during the high season. The entire property can accommodate up to 10 people. Campo de Arroz follows the codes of the region’s fishing huts: wood, thatched roof and straw, pilings, while incorporating modernity and a little more comfort. The interior decoration is made of wood and bamboo, combined with white walls and concrete floor, giving a simple and warm atmosphere. Campo de Arroz is open to nature, you can contemplate the rice fields as far as the eye can see, in each room.
