Meraviglia Slow Living: Hotel in Preveza

On the Preveza coast, Meraviglia is an architectural marvel celebrating the concept of slow living.

Maraviglia Slow Living is located in the western north of Greece, on part of the Greek coastline on the outskirts of Preveza, on a secluded beach in the town of Fiskouria Mytika.

Meraviglia means “Marvel”; in Italian. This was the vision of owner and businessman Aris Tzimas. The construction of the hotel with refined simplicity and minimalist architecture was completed in 2021 under the architectural supervision of the greek firm Block 722. On an 8-acre site surrounding the complex, and in the rooftop garden, 15,000 plants have been planted. The landscape architecture was supervised by Zoe Karakinari from Z-Topos Landscape in collaboration with gardener George Matsiras.

In total harmony with its surroundings, Meraviglia Slow Living consists of only seven luxury suites, placed horizontally, which offer a breathtaking view of the endless blue of the Ionian Sea. The spacious and bright open-plan suites are arranged over two levels, with a comfortable living room on the ground floor, as well as a raised bedroom and bathroom. Some suites have a garden, a private hot tub, or an outdoor fireplace. A large picture window opens the entire length of the suite, leading to a furnished terrace and a private infinity pool. The suites feature a blend of Scandinavian design, handmade Greek furniture, local materials, handcrafted mosaic floors, and Italian artwork, creating an earthy warm feeling in absolute symmetry with nature. The outer stone wall was constructed using rocks from the surrounding area while in the courtyard, aged cobblestones are spread between the gardens. All the materials are carefully chosen to allow for a carefree barefoot living.

There is no restaurant, but the hotel offers room service. Prepared with ingredients from the hotel’s organic garden, it is possible to have breakfast in bed, lunch, and dinner on its terrace by the pool all day long.

The hotel has a modern wellness area and gym.
