Buenavista Country Suites is a design ecolodge nestled on the volcanic island of Lanzarote in the Canary Islands, between Timanfaya and Geria National Park, amidst volcanoes and vineyards.

Originally it was a farmhouse with stables and an agricultural warehouse that was transformed by the owners and couple, Mayca and Gonzalo, in collaboration with the architect Néstor Pérez Batista.

Opened in 2014, Buenavista is a unique place designed with Canarian architecture incorporating minimalist lines, whitewashed walls, and green doors that are typical of the island. Solar panels are used for energy, water is recycled, and leds are used for lighting. The decoration has been carried out by Mayca with objects, furniture, and paintings from their own family homes.

Buenavista includes 5 suites, all different from one another, but each one is fitted with oversized bay windows that erase the notion of being indoor and offer a magical panorama of an almost lunar landscape. The layout is quite simple and the comfort is understatedly sober. Below high ceilings, the suites feature contemporary and vintage objects, works of art, and wooden elements that provide a touch of warmth. Each one has a concrete bathtub or a large shower.

The sweet and savory breakfast is composed of locally grown products such as organic fruit and products from local producers. The ceramic tableware is the work of Eguz Zerain, a local artist. Buenavista does not have a swimming pool, however the nearest beaches are 8 km away or ten minutes by car.
