A beautiful house in a wonderful setting
Patroclus is a vacation rental house, located in the quiet hamlet of Boikatika, on the small Greek island of Paxos.
Originally built somewhere around 1820, the house had belonged to a fisherman and had one of the first water cisterns in the area, carved deep into the rocks. The abandoned and ruined traditional Greek stone house has been beautifully reconstructed, mixing modernity and authenticity.
The 180 sqm house, nestled on sloping ground, can accommodate up to 6 guests. It consists of the main house and an independent studio. The house includes an open-plan living room, an equipped kitchen, a dining area, a bedroom, and a shower room on the upper level. There is also a king-size suite with a small walk-in closet, a bathroom with a bathtub and shower, and a utility room on the lower level, with direct access to the garden. The studio has a bedroom, a bathroom, a lounge area, and a terrace. Interiors feature white and exposed stone walls, wooden floors or Cretan tile floors, wooden beamed ceilings, and sea green door frames and shutters. The bathrooms are clad in waxed concrete. The kitchen has an antique marble sink and a local stone worktop. The spaces are tastefully furnished, including Danish furniture, a selection of hand-painted Greek ceramics, and beautiful tableware. Outside, the landscaped garden is filled with a lot of fruit trees, aromatic plants, and Mediterranean herbs. The terrace furnished with Tine k Home wooden furniture offers spectacular views of the sea and the cliffs. The 16 m long infinity swimming pool is surrounded by comfortable single or double deckchairs for relaxing. There is also a large outdoor kitchen equipped with a barbecue, pizza oven, gas hob, and fridge, for alfresco dining. Greek dishes and snacks, yoga classes, wellness treatments can be organized on request. In front of the house, a picturesque path through the olive groves leads in about 12 minutes to the sea and to one of the most beautiful beaches on the island.
