On the Atlantic coast, the Bordeaux boutique hotel Yndo has opened its thirteenth room, a designer fisherman's house.

La Cabane Yndo is a holiday home for rent nestled in the heart of the oyster port of Piraillan, a few steps from the seaside, on the Cap Ferret peninsula in the Arcachon basin.
La Cabane Yndo is an extension, the “thirteenth room” of the intimate boutique hotel Yndo located in Bordeaux. Agnès Guiot du Doignon, entrepreneur, interior designer, and owner, has transformed an old oyster hut into a cozy and designer house where you can escape facing the ocean. With a surface area of 60 m2, the house can accommodate up to three people. The house includes a large living room, an equipped kitchen with a magnificent AGA cooker, a dining area, an office area with a sofa bed, and a double bedroom. It is completed by a beautiful terrace of 20 m2. The interiors, inspired by the wild and unspoiled landscapes of the Arcachon basin, present a refined decoration with natural and sanded shades, green and blue as dominant colors, natural materials and raw wood floors with asymmetrical slats. The furniture is a mix of meticulously sourced objects, designer furniture, contemporary objects, including re-editions of 1930s furniture, an oak claustra partition shaped by a local carpenter, a velvet sofa, rattan chairs and table, woolen armchairs and some portraits of fish made by a local painter. The open bathroom is clad in handcrafted emerald green ceramic tiles from Vicalvi, and has a William Holland freestanding pewter tub, Samuel Heath industrial-style faucets, and walk-in rainfall shower. A signature that is displayed in every nook and cranny and which reveals a soft and soothing atmosphere. For breakfast, a selection of fresh products and groceries are offered to guests. A selection of wines and champagnes is also available on request. Two Van Moof electric bicycles are available and allow you to explore the Cap Ferret peninsula independently.
Imagined as a refuge, La Cabane Yndo is a timeless, intimate and precious space for an escape to the heart of nature, just an hour from Bordeaux.
