Desert Wild is a rental holiday house located in a residential and safe neighborhood of South Joshua Tree, a 10-minute drive from the West entrance of Joshua Tree National Park, USA.

Desert Wild is the house of Natalie Saunders and Lou Litrenta, a globetrotting couple, who built it from the ground up to create a unique experience. The house can accommodate up to 4 people. Desert Wild consists of an open living space with a living room, a gas fireplace for chilly evenings, a dining area, and a fully fitted kitchen. There are also two bedrooms and two bathrooms with a shower. Large windows and sliding doors frame the desert mountains. Outside, there is a swimming pool for cooling off, a hot tub, a cactus garden, and a wood-burning fireplace for gathering. The large front porch was designed with a hanging swing to enjoy the view that looks over the town of Joshua Tree, and built-in plaster seating was added for enjoying breakfast and coffee outdoors. The house is custom designed in a ‘Finca’ style while keeping in mind the magic of the Mojave Desert. Inspired by many trips around the world, the interiors present many spaces in tadelakt (Moroccan plaster) applied by local craftsmen, custom-made cabinets and furniture, smooth concrete floors like in Greece, an adobe fireplace like in New Mexico, hundreds of hand-stapled saguaro ribs to the porch ceiling… The house is filled with a combination of vintage and global decor sourced by the couple as well as local art and design to create a truly unique oasis. The desert landscape creates a stark background so the color palette is warm, neutral and simple that changes with the colors of the desert throughout the day. This helps to achieve a very calming and magical vibe that compliments the mysterious and beautiful Joshua Tree area. The house is equipped with air conditioning, heating, but it keeps a pleasant temperature all year round.
