Benedikta is a chalet for rent located on the edge of the forest in the village of Vandans, in the Montafon valley, in the west of Austria.
Surrounded by meadows and wildflowers, fresh air, and incredible views of the Austrian mountains, Benedikta is a luxurious alpine chalet ideal for spending time with family and friends.
Built-in 1836, Elisabeth Brändle’s chalet was once that of her grandmother Benedikta. The chalet with typical Montafon architecture has been carefully renovated in collaboration with the architects Hackl and Klammer, based in the neighboring municipality of Röthis. Old details have been preserved, such as interlocking wooden beams, roof shingles, casement windows, and sage green shutters mixed with modern interiors. Here the old and the new merge in perfect harmony in a warm atmosphere.
Benedikta can accommodate 6 adults and 2 small children. The ground floor includes two cozy living rooms, a modern dining room, and a fully equipped kitchen with an industrial look. On the first floor are three bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. The rooms have a clean, minimalist design with fragrant fir wood, natural colors, and materials, carefully chosen black details, cozy woolen blankets, and dimmable designer lighting. The beds are equipped with ergonomic Rummel mattresses, which also have an air conditioning system for deep sleep. The bathrooms, adorned with natural stone and lined with blackened steel, have a rain shower.
The “Schopf”, an extension located on the side of the chalet offers a private wooden sauna with a panoramic view of the mountains. There is also an herb and flower garden, inviting seating areas, a fire bowl and barbecue area.
An artisan hamper will greet you on arrival with the best Montafon specialties. It is possible to book a delivery service but also a cook who can come and prepare typical local dishes; goulash, schnitzel, or käsknöpfle. Elisabeth can recommend the best restaurants in the region.
