Andronis Arcadia Villa Eden: House in Oia

Villa Eden is located on the edge of the village of Oia in the Andronis Arcadia hotel, on the island of Santorini in Greece.

Designed in 2019 by Greek architectural firm Kapsimalis Architects, the independent summer villa is nestled in a private location, facing the Aegean Sea. The villa features a modern facade with white walls that blends into the vernacular architecture of the island, but with a minimalist design and orthogonal lines.

With an area of ​​600 sqm, the villa can comfortably accommodate up to 12 people. It consists of a ground floor, an upper floor, and a lower level in the basement. The three floors of the villa are connected by a central interior staircase, which visually unifies the first two levels through an interior patio. The ground floor consists of the main living room, a dining room lit by a skylight on the ceiling, a fully equipped modern kitchen, and tree bedrooms each with a private bathroom. The common space on the ground floor can be completely opened up by sliding doors which disappear inside the walls. The upper floor includes a living space and a bedroom with a bathroom. The lower level in the basement has a small living area, two other bedrooms each with a private bathroom, a fitness room, and a spa room. Outside there is an open-air dining area under a wooden and metal pergola, gardens filled with olive trees and Mediterranean plants, two private swimming pools including an elongated shallow one, and a large swimming pool surrounded by a furnished terrace. Interiors mix white, beige, raw concrete, light oak furniture, ceramic tiles, marble, semi-transparent brown-colored glass, rattan or textured rugs, and pieces of pottery, creating a comfortable atmosphere that conforms to the life on the island. There is plenty of natural light inside through the skylights, patios, and sliding patio doors.
