Yndo: Hotel in Bordeaux
Just steps away from the Golden Triangle, Hotel Yndo is a discreet address, an elegant and relaxed setting that offers a new concept of luxury.
A classic setting for a decidedly design-oriented universe
Nestled in the heart of Bordeaux, Hotel Yndo presents itself as a true haven of peace and refinement. Located at 108 rue de l’Abbé de l’Épée, this 5-star hotel is easily accessible and just a few steps from the banks of the Garonne, elegant boutiques, and art galleries that have made this city a UNESCO World Heritage site.
Yndo is the project of Agnès Guiot du Doignon, a creative woman who is a self-taught expert in interior architecture and design. Captivated by this private hotel where architectural elegance and refined details testify to Bordeaux’s craftsmanship, she decided to transform it into a hotel—a place where history and modernity harmoniously meet.
It took two years of work carried out by Bordeaux artisans to transform the residence, its cobblestone courtyard, and its former stables. The original volumes, ceilings, woodwork, fireplaces, and marbles have been preserved as much as possible.
The concept of the place is to offer a unique hotel experience, with highly personalized service, where works of art and design are displayed like in a gallery. The establishment features 12 rooms and suites, and in 2024, it underwent significant expansion, adding 8 new rooms as well as a meeting room. Each room is a universe unto itself, combining comfort, sophistication, and custom decoration. The high-end fittings of the bathrooms and the carefully selected furniture create a unique atmosphere in the spaces.
The common areas, both warm and refined, are designed to offer guests a relaxing and friendly experience, while showcasing artworks carefully selected by Agnès. The decor combines long-haired armchairs and mirrors by the Campana Brothers, Warren Platner armchairs, sofas and consoles from Edra, whale-shaped chairs by Hubert Le Gall, a walnut Cloud table from Autoban, Cazeaux ceramics from Biarritz, a carpet designed with Ege Carpet, a rug by Marcel Wanders, and a custom suspension by Bordeaux designer William Guillon… The styles, materials, and colors create a surprising and distinctly unique result.
Also passionate about gastronomy, Agnès offers breakfast and a host table featuring homemade dishes made with seasonal products. Meals are served in the dining room or in the lush, shaded inner courtyard furnished with creations by Paola Lenti.
Bicycles are available for guests to use free of charge. A “What to Do in Bordeaux” itinerary created by the Yndo team invites guests to discover the city’s points of interest.
Hotel Yndo is much more than just a place to stay; it is a sensory experience where every detail matters. Yndo promises an unforgettable stay in the heart of one of France’s most beautiful cities.
