Woodlark

Woodlark: Hotel in Portland

Two historic buildings combined into one, the Woodlark hotel effortlessly embodies Portland's chic and cosmopolitan flair.

Book Woodlark

Woodlark, the “House of Welcome”

The Woodlark is the latest of the Provenance hotels. It is located in downtown Portland, Oregon.

The project involved renovating two buildings – the Cornelius hotel and the Woodlark Building – which were combined to create a modern “home away from home” feel. Together, these buildings now house the Woodlark hotel, which embodies the spirit of Portland’s new, sophisticated and bold Northwest Portland.

Upon arrival, black and white tiles greet guests in the brightly lit lobby. The wood and marble check-in counter connects the front desk to the hotel’s coffee bar. The lobby, with a large common table, armchairs, and leather sofas, can be described as a friendly and comfortable modern lounge.

The hotel has 150 elegant, almost monochrome rooms, resulting in an interior and spaces that resemble a house rather than a hotel. The rooms are decorated with gray wooden floors, emerald velvet headboards, leather sofas, custom-made marble tables, blue velvet chairs, handmade wool carpets, wood, leather, brass, black lacquer lamps, photographs, floral-patterned wallpaper and a bit of potted greenery. There are eleven types of rooms, and on the third floor, under the six-meter high ceilings you can find two-story loft suites with a mezzanine and a black wood and steel spiral staircase. The bathrooms are tiled in white subway tiles with touches of green and brass fittings.

The hotel offers three dining options; Bullard, a Texas-Oregon steakhouse, Abigail Hall, a cocktail bar, and Good Coffee, the lively lobby café.

Woodlark is a sophisticated hotel with a luxury, upscale aesthetic.
