Book The Saint

Takes your breath away

Situated on the edge of the village of Oia, at the top of the volcanic rocks of La Caldera in an exceptional setting facing the Aegean Sea, The Saint is one-of-a-kind.

Originally an ancient cave with barns and cellars, and a modern cubist residence, the complex was transformed by the fashionable Greek Kapsimalis Architects studio (founded by Alexandros and Marianna Kapsimalis). The Saint hotel opened its doors in October 2019. For this project, the designers incorporated the archipelago’s architectural codes and existing geometric forms, adapting them to the natural environment and injecting a modern touch. The resort combines existing buildings with new developments. The spaces are progressively articulated across the complex’s six levels, linked by a central concrete staircase that meanders throughout the property. The entrance to the hotel is accessible from the village’s main pedestrian street located on the upper level where the reception and an outdoor lounge are also located.

The hotel offers 16 troglodyte suites with smooth walls that are finished in white plaster. The overall design is clean with white enhanced with touches of gold accents. Contemporary furniture adorns every space. The bathrooms are designed in polished cement. Each suite has a pivoting bay opening onto a private terrace with a swimming pool, sun loungers, and tiltable sunshade.

The Trinity restaurant offers gourmet Greek-Mediterranean cuisine. The lower level includes an infinity pool, spa, steam room, sauna, fitness room and outdoor cliffside relaxation area.

Facing southwest, The Saint overlooks the Mediterranean Sea and the offshore volcano in a majestic setting.
