This B&B, boutique-apartment is nestled in one of the most beautiful residential areas of Antwerp. The city centre, the open-air museum Middelheim Park, Park Den Brandt and Nachtegalenpark are only a 10-minute walk away.

Opened in 2020, Studio Penelope is the brainchild of Iris Smarnakis and Vincent Perbal. Both interior designers, have transformed their former garage on the ground floor of an elegant art deco building into a large contemporary B&B. They had to lower the floor to leave enough space for the ceilings and knock down the walls to redesign everything. The project is intended to be multifunctional, hence the choice of an open layout to gain luminosity.

The 90 m2 space on different levels includes a sleeping area, a bathroom with a shower, a lounge area, an office, a library area, a fully equipped kitchen, and a furnished outdoor terrace. This eclectic venue thought out to the smallest detail displays herringbone parquet floors, terrazzo floors, high ceilings, high doors, art deco mouldings, gold details, draped curtains, round shapes, flowing lines, hues cozy, touches of powder pink, funky furniture with fanciful shapes, natural materials. Plush towels, Egyptian cotton sheets, hairdryers, bathrobes, and Grown Alchemist products add a luxurious touch. From furniture to board games in the closet, everything has been thought of. It is also possible to choose the type of pillow via the dedicated application, for a good night’s sleep.

Also via the app, you can choose between a healthy breakfast and a full English breakfast made with fresh, local and organic produce.

Studio Penelope is a full-experience hospitality concept aimed at providing more than just a place to sleep. That’s why all drinks and snacks are free.
