A unique immersive experience in the heart of preserved nature

Son Blanc Farmhouse is located on a 130-hectare estate in an unspoiled and wild corner of the island of Menorca, with the sea in the background.

Son Blanc Farmhouse is a self-sufficient and ecological rural hotel designed by Benedicta Linares Pearce and Benoît Pellegrini, in collaboration with the Parisian architecture firm Atelier du Pont and with the Mahón-based agency ARU Arquitectura. A traditional Menorcan farmhouse in ruins has been renovated and transformed by local craftsmen over five years. The original structure as well as existing remarkable elements of the Menorcan architecture have been preserved. The spaces feature local stone, large flagstone floors, arched openings, vaulted ceilings and whitewashed walls.

More than a sustainably built hotel, Son Blanc Farmhouse offers another vision of travel and hospitality. It is a unique place of exploration and communion with nature, oneself and with others.

Surrounded by endemic species of olive trees, wild pines and almond trees, the hotel consists of 15 rooms, including one reserved for creatives in residence. Inspired by the nature of the island, the interiors are modern and comfortable, bright with light tones, furnished with pieces by Spanish designers, carefully selected textiles, and raw materials molded into organic shapes. Marès stone, wild olive wood and clay are the main local materials used. Design and artisanal work take paramount roles in the finished product.

The hotel offers a primitive and convivial cuisine, inspired by the land and the sea, based on local and seasonal ingredients, picked from the permaculture garden or from friends and local producers.

Son Blanc Farmhouse offers a view of the sea, a swimming pool carved into the rock and energizing massage areas. It is possible to participate in yoga classes in the forest, sports courses through the ravines, but also dance and pottery workshops. The property also houses sheep, hens and beehives.

Each activity offered on-site is a way to become aware of a more responsible life and to connect with nature.
