Scorpios Bodrum: The new Mediterranean art of living

Nestled on an isolated peninsula in southwestern Turkey, Scorpios Bodrum enjoys a prime location. Surrounded by lush green hills and the azure waters of the Mediterranean, the hotel invites moments of pure contemplation. Just a few kilometers from the lively center of Bodrum, it offers a peaceful haven for travelers seeking serenity.

This new luxury retreat, opened in June 2024, redefines the concept of a contemporary sanctuary, drawing inspiration from the ancient agora—a space for gathering and exchange. Bridging progressive design and cultural heritage, Scorpios Bodrum embodies a harmonious vision of understated and authentic luxury.

Designed by Istanbul-based architecture firm Geomim, in collaboration with Lambs&Lions and StudioMacBride, Scorpios Bodrum reinterprets Mediterranean architecture by integrating raw materials and contemporary simplicity. Inspired by traditional stone houses, the aesthetic emphasizes clean lines, natural structures, and open spaces that blend seamlessly with the surrounding landscape. The hotel is organized around a modern agora, a central space where all experiences converge.

Every detail of the decor reflects a perfect balance between luxury and simplicity. Staying true to the Scorpios DNA, the interior design incorporates natural textures such as raw wood, limestone, and artisanal textiles. Spaces are adorned with locally crafted pottery, rattan lighting, and works by contemporary Turkish artists. Neutral tones, ranging from sandy beige to soft off-white, create a calming and organic atmosphere.

The hotel offers 12 luxury bungalows, each with breathtaking views of the Aegean Sea. These exclusive villas, perched atop the peninsula, are designed as private sanctuaries. The interiors, bathed in natural light, open onto private terraces equipped with pools—perfect for savoring the moment in complete privacy.

The hotel offer a wealth of amenities for the senses :
– The House: At the heart of the hotel, the main house is divided into four interconnected volumes with versatile spaces, including a central fireplace, a circular bar, and an open kitchen. These adaptable zones are designed to host everything from intimate gatherings to exclusive events.
– Scorpios Kitchen: A true homage to Mediterranean cuisine, the open-air restaurant celebrates local produce with a farm-to-table menu. Reimagined mezzes, freshly caught seafood, and light desserts embody the culinary identity of the region, elevated with modern techniques.
– The Beach Club: Overlooking crystal-clear waters, the Beach Club exudes a bohemian-chic vibe with its Balinese beds and captivating DJ sets. It’s the ideal spot to sip a signature cocktail while watching the sun set over the horizon.
– The Sanctuary of Wellness: The spa offers a range of treatments inspired by Mediterranean and Oriental rituals, using natural, locally sourced ingredients. Hammam, holistic massages, and seaside yoga classes complete the wellness offering.
– Art and Music Space: A “contemporary temple” serves as a stage for artistic performances and alternative healing rituals, delivering an immersive and cultural experience.

Dedicated to environmental responsibility, Scorpios Bodrum embraces local materials, renewable energy, and partnerships with regional artisans. Every architectural and design choice aims to minimize ecological impact while honoring the natural beauty of the site.

Scorpios Bodrum is more than a hotel—it is a destination unto itself. Combining natural elegance with visionary design, it is set to become a must-visit for aesthete travelers seeking authentic moments and unforgettable emotions.
