The Moulin Moulin guesthouse is located in Dannes, halfway between Hardelot and Le Touquet, in the Côte d’Opale. The beach is 3 km away, accessible by road or by paths through the Dunes of Mont Saint Frieux.
After having fully lived a city life in Lille, Nicolas and Jérémy, the owners (formerly designer and optician), decided to move into the countryside to enjoy a more spacious home and live to the rhythm of the seasons.
The building nestled on the edge of a vast body of water has been completely renovated and transformed to create a haven of peace in the heart of nature. The guest house consists of 4 bedrooms and two suites for visitors looking for more independence. The rooms are named after the owners’ grandmothers. They all have a handcrafted wool mattress and pillows, a private bathroom, a dressing room and a desk. The interiors, like an ode to nature, display clean lines, floral colors, subdued lighting, flowered cushions, dried flowers, natural materials such as wood, linen and cotton, antique objects, lighting and designer furniture. Each room changes with the seasons to create a unique ambiance.
The two suites, the Grande Boudeuse suite and the Petite Boudeuse (soon available) are located in an annex away from the house and have a private terrace. The suites offer a tailor-made layout for a comfortable and peaceful stay. Breakfast is delivered to the door every morning.
The living room area with its comfortable sofas and fireplace is dressed in pastel tones, whose shades from green to yellow, which vary depending on the light during the day. Large bay windows open onto the pond, encouraging contemplation of the spectacle of nature.
Passionate about interior decoration, Nicolas and Jérémy wanted to create a sort of exhibition museum where beautiful objects, from the 60s to today, rub shoulders and mingle harmoniously.
Every morning, breakfast is lovingly prepared with 100% homemade recipes, and with fresh and local products.
Outside, the pond offers a serene and soothing atmosphere. At the water’s edge, a large wooden terrace invites you to relax and enjoy nature.
