Mezi Plutky: Hotel in Celadnà

In the Czech Beskid Mountains, Mezi Plutky is a small hotel with character stirring up the seemingly contradictory.

An experience in the middle of nature

Mezi Plutky is located in Celadnà, in the Beskid Mountains of the Czech Republic.

The owners Daniela (interior designer) and Petr (antique collector) have restored this two hundred year old country house creating an authentic and modern ambience. The name Mezi Plutky means “between the fences” reminiscent of the traditional wooden fences surrounding the property.

Here, old and new, dark and light, privacy and community come together to create a warm and welcoming mood. The house is designed with a traditional shingled roof, typical small windows, white walls, a sandstone floor, wooden beams on the ceiling, oak doors and furniture crafted by local cabinetmakers. Large glass doors bring light into the previously dimly lit rooms. You’ll find Karl Andersson chairs in the dining room and Hay armchairs in the bedrooms, as well as contemporary works of art in the various spaces that contrast with this rural house.

The house has 4 rooms with a “loft” feel, inspired by Nordic architecture, each different and decorated in shades of brown, grey, and white. The bathrooms are both open and designer.

Breakfast is served with organic products, including homemade black bread, blueberry jam, cheese, yoghurt and cold cuts delivered by neighboring farmers.

There are several common areas; a kitchen, a bar, a dining room, a living room with a fireplace, and a library. There are also barns that serve as a winter garden and summer living room, a terrace, a large garden with aromatic herbs and an old pond transformed into a natural swimming pool.

Mezi Plütky is not just an ordinary hotel, it is an experience.
