Maana Kamo Kyoto

Maana Kamo: Hotel in Kyoto

If you are looking for a retreat to slow down and relax during your next stay in Kyoto, then Maana Kamo must be added to your list.

Book Maana Kamo

Spaces organized to evoke a feeling of serenity and tranquility

Maana Kamo is located in the historic Higashiyama district. The hotel was designed by Shigenori for Maana Homes, a collection of luxury retreats. The goal of the renovation was to preserve and expose the original structure of the building while creating a minimalist refuge for quiet contemplation. Original details were combined with dark furnishings and dim lighting, as well as new wooden walls and floors lined with traditional straw tatami mats. The absence of ornamentation allows Maana Kamo to be “visually silent” and free of distractions, providing space for occupants to slow down and reflect.

We love Maana Kamo for:

Opening in 2020
2 guest rooms
Large Japanese-style bathtub accessible from the living room
Very minimalist decoration, absence of ornaments
The clay walls of the original structure are on display throughout
A bedroom can quickly be transformed into a meditation space

Budget

Double room from 740 € per night during low season.
