Located on the seafront in a preserved natural setting facing the Ile d’Or, Les Roches Rouges is a new hotel with a modern twist.
First acquired by by the HEH group, the hotel has belonged to the Beaumier Hotels & Resorts group since May 2021. A new name inspired by the French explorer, Auguste Beaumier, geographer and writer.
The roadside motel dating from the 1950s has been renovated in collaboration with the trendy French design duo Festen and the Be-poles studio for a new visual identity. The hotel owes its name to the volcanic crimson rock from which the coastal mountain range is made. The architects went for ultra simplicity, using raw materials and opting for maximum exposure to the sea. Les Roches Rouges is a unique hotel with inspiring decor and a relaxed vibe. The lobby is a perfect lifestyle setting; waxed concrete, De Sede leather sofas, Charlotte Perriand’s wicker coffee table, Guy Bareff’s terracotta wall lights, hand-curated books, and wooden trestles to welcome you in.
The hotel counts 50 sleek rooms and suites where white is the dominant color accented with shades of red-blue and ochre that echo the natural landscape. No TVs (but a tablet) to concentrate on the essentials. All rooms have a balcony offering an infinite view dipping into the sea. The marble bathrooms care products are supplied by Le Labo.
The hotel has 2 restaurants with their own bar, including La Terrasse, serving chef José Bailly‘s Provencal style cuisine, boasting 1 star in the Michelin Guide. There is also an outdoor terrace fluttering with AA Butterfly chairs, 2 swimming pools including a natural seawater pool, a beach with sunbeds, a Mediterranean garden, an Esthederm spa, and countless activities to do in and around the hotel.
