Le Refuge de la Traye is nestled at an altitude of 1,650 m, above Méribel, in the heart of the 3 Valleys ski area. The Refuge teams organise Access to the establishment from Le Villard (les Allues) via a shuttle system, adapted to cross the snowy forest trails. In summer, the resort is accessible by hiking or even horseback riding from Les Allues.

Created in 1982, Le Refuge de la Traye was completely renovated in 2019 using natural materials from the region (stone, old larch wood, slate…). Built in the style of an old hamlet, it has retained all its soul, that of an authentic, traditional mountain refuge.

It consists of three chalets linked by an interior corridor and houses 6 spacious rooms and suites (2 to 4 people). Comfortable, warm, sophisticated and richly equipped, they are true havens of peace. Rooms are decorated in Savoyard style, with wood, fabrics and materials offering exceptional comfort, combined with modern touches and high-tech services that respect the spirit of the mountains. Each room opens onto an outdoor space, allowing you to admire the view and breathe in the mountain air. The rooms are distinguished by a soft, delicate olfactory signature created by nose Blaise Mautin. With a limited capacity, guests stay peacefully in an intimate and confidential atmosphere.

La Table de La Traye promises gourmet moments throughout the seasons. The restaurant offers an astonishing panoramic view. It features a cozy indoor dining room and a terrace overlooking the surrounding mountain peaks. Chef Renaud offers friendly cuisine that revisits traditional Savoyard flavors. Created using fresh, local produce, the recipes change regularly during the season, adapting to your every whim. Le Refuge de la Traye also offers other tasting experiences organized on request: traditional raclette and fondue in the Cheese Farm, wine tastings, artisanal cheeses and charcuterie. At any time of day, the tisanerie offers a vast selection of local and organic herbal teas with regional flavours. To extend the experience, the Refuge sells honey harvested on the estate.

Imagined as a panio-bar, the lounge and fireplace offer a relaxing space where comfortably seated guests feel right at home.

There’s also the experience of the hay bed or the milk bath with a breathtaking view of the mountains. Outside, Le Refuge de la Traye extends the experience with a heated infinity pool and Nordic baths.

A variety of outdoor activities can be organized, including tree-climbing and zip-lining, electric mountain biking, hiking and rifle shooting, all of which allow you to take full advantage of the joys of the mountains.

Le Refuge de la Traye takes full charge of children throughout their stay. They can take part in a wide range of workshops devised over the seasons by a dedicated team, or have fun in the Refuge’s games room.

The estate can also be privatized, transforming it into an exclusive property for up to 15 guests. A tailor-made hotel service, staffed by a team of qualified professionals, guarantees a memorable stay.
