Le Barn

Le Barn: Hotel in Bonnelles

Le Barn is an atypical hotel, a secret place in the middle of the wilderness, less than an hour's ride from Paris.

Book Le Barn

A hotel in the woods

In the Haras de La Cense’s 495 acres in the Rambouillet forest, 45 minutes from Paris by car, Le Barn hotel combines nature and design.

It was designed by Edouard Daehn, hotelier, and William Kriegel, a French-American entrepreneur with a passion for horses and owner of the equestrian estate, in collaboration with Christophe Vergnaud, architect from the CV2A agency and Antoine Ricardou, interior designer at Be-poles studio. Inspired by wild horses, Be-poles conceptualized the hotel’s visual identity, and (co-)imagined each part of the site, from the architecture to the furniture, from the fabrics to the dishes, and finishing with the Art Program. The Barn consists of a farm and two renovated barn sheds made of sheet metal, the “Barns”, which house part of the rooms are totally immersed into nature.

The hotel offers 73 rooms with a private double patio and a balcony with a view of the estate overlooking the pond and nearby horses. The rooms have a relaxed and warm atmosphere and combine a countryside rural vibe with a contemporary design. The rooms are decorated with very simple materials such as wood, leather, cork, marble, and metal. Most of the furniture is custom-made. The bathrooms are decorated with white and black ceramic tiles.

When it comes to dining, the hotel offers La Serre, under its glass roof, with a “from farm to table” concept. The chef supplies his own produce from the vegetable garden but also from neighboring farmers. Numerous activities are possible: a spa equipped with outdoor Nordic baths, hammam, ayurvedic massages, yoga, cycling, horse riding, hiking, picking…

Le Barn is a countryside escape to recharge your batteries and kick back and enjoy.
