Kudhva: Off-grid glamping in Tintagel

Kudhva offers sustainable holidays with panoramic views of the rugged North Cornwall coastline. Ideal for a true escape into the wilderness.

Book Kudhva

An incredible wilderness accommodation experience

Kudhva is located on the side of a long-abandoned 43-acre slate quarry near Trebarwith Strand in north Cornwall. This off-the-beaten-track location is also just a stone’s throw from the mighty North Cornwall coast, known for its raw natural beauty, rugged cliffs, secluded beaches and sublime sunsets.

Louise, the owner, acquired the site in 2015. The aim of the Kudhva project (Cornish for “hiding place”) was to provide a back-to-nature retreat, with an emphasis on wild swimming in cold waters, l stargazing, outdoor swimming and campfire cooking.

The resort is made up of three Kudhva pods (K2, K3, K4), four teepees nestled in a beautiful field with 180-degree views of the coastline, and a Danish cabin with its own stream flowing under its private terrace, all different and unique. Kudhva Kanvas are our brand new architectural canvas tents which are unlike anything you’ve ever seen before. All accommodations and spaces offer a unique and simple way of life; totally off-grid, in a beautifully curated space.

The famous Kudhva huts are unique treehouse-like structures. Located a good distance from the ground, they offer a breathtaking view of the surrounding landscape. Inside there is a comfortable mezzanine for two people, a small lounge area with a padded bench seat and triangular windows. It’s the perfect place to relax, read, write or listen.

The resort has a shared kitchen and a rustic-style reception. The toilet block has flush toilets, solar-powered showers and borehole water. There are also necessities available in the onsite shop to help you stock up with everything you’d need for a comfy stay.

The site has plenty to discover, including a wood-fired hot tub, wild swimming lake, waterfall and climbing wall.
