In 2022, it was acquired by Karine Tiphagne and her husband Jean, a couple who lived in Hawaii, who embarked on a comprehensive renovation to rejuvenate this emblematic establishment. They enlisted architect Delphine Carrère to redesign the spaces, drawing inspiration from the traditional oyster huts characteristic of the Arcachon basin and motels on the Californian coast. The result is a harmonious blend of local tradition and contemporary aesthetics, creating a chic yet relaxed atmosphere.

The hotel offers 13 thoughtfully designed rooms and suites, each reflecting a minimalist and refined ambiance. Interiors are bathed in natural light, featuring wooden walls, pine furnishings, and accents of jute and rattan, evoking a Californian aesthetic fused with the elegance of the Hamptons. Each room includes a private balcony or terrace, providing an intimate space to unwind after a day of exploration.

While Hôtel des Dunes does not have an on-site restaurant, a hearty breakfast is served each morning, offering a selection of sweet and savory dishes to satisfy all palates.
