Grands Boulevards

Grands Boulevards: Hotel in Paris

The Experimental Group's second Parisian destination, the Grands Boulevards hotel is a hop and skip away from the Poissonnière metro station.

Dive into the heart of Paris

After The Grand Pigalle hotel’s resounding success, the Experimental Group imagined its second Parisian address, the Grands Boulevards hotel, just a few metres from the Poissonnière metro station.

Hidden away from the hustle and bustle of the nearby boulevard, and accessible by a long secret corridor, the building was constructed shortly before the French Revolution. For the interior, the designer Dorothée Meilichzon, a faithful friend and partner of the Expérimental gang, was inspired by the building’s history to drive the decor, combining “grand siècle” charm and modern style. The designer decompartmentalized the spaces in the common areas by mixing interiors and exteriors with various materials: terracotta, vegetation, trellis, a greenhouse, fountains, statues, and mesh wires.

The hotel offers 50 rooms divided into 5 categories; Petit Boulevard, Saint Fiacre, Uzès, Sous les toits, and the Grand Boulevard suite. They are decorated with four-poster beds, draped curtains and canopies, glass cupboards, red marble, bevelled mirrors, and velvet headboards. The ensemble combines a rural spirit with rustic linens, plastered walls, stools and bedside tables in rustic style wood, and brushed bronze fixtures. On the top floor, the mansard roof suites offer rooftop views of Paris, with exposed beams and high ceilings. The pastel-colored bathrooms are equipped with either a shower or bathtub.

On the ground floor, the Grand Restaurant with its interior courtyard, offers French-Italian cuisine in association with Giovanni Passerini. You will also find a cosy cocktail bar called, The Shell on the ground floor. If you look up, you’ll find The Shed, perched on the roof of the hotel.

The Grands Boulevards hotel offers a historic and contemporary experience in the French capital.
