Perched at an altitude of 1,550 meters, Eriro Alpine Hide is an exclusive alpine retreat nestled in the picturesque village of Ehrwald, in Tyrol, Austria. With only nine suites, this establishment offers a unique experience, blending understated luxury with complete immersion in nature.
Eriro Alpine Hide: The alpine gem where luxury and nature become one
Located on the Ehrwalder Alm, Eriro enjoys a privileged setting with panoramic views of the majestic surrounding mountains. The pristine, wild environment invites guests to deeply reconnect with nature, far from the hustle and bustle of urban life. Vast alpine meadows and dense forests surrounding the hotel create a serene and calming atmosphere, perfect for relaxation and contemplation.
Eriro is the result of a collaboration between hoteliers Amelie and Dominik Posch, along with Christina and Martin Spielmann. Inspired by Tyrolean culture and a deep respect for the environment, they envisioned this hotel as a place where authenticity and sustainability lie at the heart of the experience. Every detail reflects a commitment to preserving local traditions while offering modern, refined comfort.
Designed by wood construction expert Andreas Mader and architect Martin Gruber, Eriro stands out for its architecture that harmoniously blends into the alpine landscape. Local materials such as wood and stone are used throughout, creating a warm and natural ambiance. Large bay windows offer breathtaking views of the surrounding peaks, blurring the boundary between indoors and outdoors. The minimalist, refined design highlights the raw beauty of the materials, reflecting an aesthetic that is both rustic and contemporary.
Eriro’s nine suites are conceived as intimate retreats, offering a cozy and serene atmosphere. Each suite is decorated with natural materials such as wood and wool, creating a warm and soothing ambiance. Modern amenities are discreetly integrated to preserve the harmony of the space, while large windows allow guests to fully enjoy the alpine scenery from the comfort of their rooms.
Eriro’s cuisine is an ode to alpine gastronomy, showcasing local products and regional culinary traditions. Chef David Franken, a proponent of the zero-waste concept, prepares dishes using seasonal ingredients, often cooked over open flames, evoking ancestral methods. Meals are served in a convivial atmosphere, inviting guests to share and discover the culinary richness of Tyrol.
The Eriro spa offers a unique experience inspired by the surrounding alpine landscapes. Guests can unwind in relaxation pools, enjoy spruce saunas, or immerse themselves in a meditation cave. Treatments featuring local medicinal herbs are also available, providing a deep connection with nature and ultimate relaxation.
Eriro Alpine Hide is more than just a place to stay; it is an invitation to experience an authentic retreat in harmony with nature and alpine traditions. Whether for a romantic getaway, a wellness retreat, or a mountain adventure, Eriro provides an idyllic setting to rejuvenate and reconnect with the essentials.
