The COQ hotel is located in the 13th district of Paris, in a quiet street near the Gobelins and the Place d’Italie metro station.

Nestled in a Haussmann-style building, the former hotel, bought by Michel Delloye, has been completely renovated and transformed over a one year period interior designers Pauline d’Hoop and Delphine Sauvaget from Agence Favorite. Opened in 2016, COQ is a relaxed and elegant concept, halfway between a hotel and a sophisticated family home.

COQ stands for Communauté de Qualité (A Quality Community) for its emphasis and dedication to detail and high quality. The hotel features a classic Parisian style with typical crown moldings, vintage furniture, and herringbone parquet flooring to create a friendly atmosphere.

COQ has 50 different rooms, divided into three categories. They are decorated in muted hues of Farrow & Ball blue-green-grey, in a mix of chic eclecticism with a combination of modern custom furniture (desk, console, dressing room, mirror, and lighting fixtures) and vintage flea market finds. The bathrooms, tiled in white with a touch of black, feature marble sinks, either a rainfall shower or freestanding bathtub, and Rituals toiletries.

Breakfast is served buffet style and is presented on a large island in the dining room. It offers fresh products, most of which are organic. On the first floor, you will find a warm area designed as a shared living space, there is a living room with a fireplace, a shimmering winter garden, and a mini-store. Contrary to a standard hotel, guests are invited to walk around, even in the kitchen. At the back of the hotel there is even a small courtyard with a henhouse.
