Casa Montelongo: Guesthouse in Fuerteventura
Isolated in the north of Fuerteventura, Casa Montelongo is an incredibly designer refuge, perfectly integrated into the landscape.
Casa Montelongo, a haven for architecture, art and design
Casa Montelongo is located in the iconic town of La Oliva, in the north of Fuerteventura.
This hotel, which is not a hotel, but an authentic Canarian house has become a unique accommodation created by Borja and Raúl, the owners, in collaboration with Néstor Pérez Batista, a Canarian architect based in Berlin.
The project consists of two independent dwellings which integrate perfectly into the natural environment. Each exclusive unit is separated by a shared central patio, complete with a swimming pool and sun loungers. They each include a bedroom with a bathroom, a living room, and a kitchen.
The spaces combine tradition, modernity and avant-garde design, paying homage to the island’s heritage with local materials such as stone, wood, clay, lime and glass. Minimalism prevails throughout, emphasizing clean lines and aesthetics to create a sense of calm. The rooms are bathed in natural light, creating an ambiance of transparency and space, and the design blurs the boundaries between inside and outside.
This adults-only haven is an idyllic destination from which to embrace the slow motion, disconnect from the world and immerse yourself in the lunar beauty of this island’s surreal landscape.
An a la carte breakfast option is available each morning, with fresh pastries, fruits and fresh juices.
Installed in the patio, the Óscar Latuag’s sculpture reflects the philosophy of Casa Montelongo and Fuerteventura itself: a celebration of art, nature and the timeless dance between the two.
