North of the Yucatan Peninsula, Holbox, is one of the most exclusive islands in Mexico.

Pink flamingos, turquoise water, sandy streets, golf carts, bicycles, and street-art give a bohemian touch to this small fishing village.

Here, Colette and Pierre-Marie, a French couple, acquired an authentic seafront home, located right on the beach, which they renovated over several months, turning it into a small hotel to fit their taste.

The result; Casa Cat Ba, an intimate and authentic setting, surrounded by palm trees, redesigned with local handcrafted materials, works of art, vintage furniture, natural colors, in a wabi-sabi style with Asian and Mexican influences. Casa Cat Ba is more like a home than a hotel, with a personal and unique touch.

The 5 rooms with private balconies, with a minimalist and bohemian chic design, and are spread over all three floors of the house (the Palapa Suite occupies the entire top floor). Each room has an ocean view and is decorated with wooden ceiling beams and sand-colored painted concrete floors and walls. Each room has its own bathroom with a shower, Yucatan Senses toiletries, and comfortable bathrobes.

In the morning, a healthy and fresh breakfast is served on the patio facing the ocean.

Guests can also enjoy the small lounge, the boutique located on the first floor, the beach bar, and the soft deckchairs.
