Nestled in the heart of the legendary Croisette, the Carlton Cannes has epitomized the elegance and glamour of the French Riviera for over a century. This historic gem, recently renovated, continues to attract travelers worldwide seeking an unparalleled hotel experience.
Ideally situated on the Boulevard de la Croisette, the Carlton Cannes offers breathtaking views of the Mediterranean. Just steps away from the Palais des Festivals and sandy beaches, the hotel is surrounded by luxury boutiques, gourmet restaurants, and the vibrant energy of Cannes. Its prime location allows guests to fully immerse themselves in the city’s chic and dynamic atmosphere.
Opened in 1913, the Carlton Cannes was designed by architect Charles Dalmas in a neoclassical style imbued with Belle Époque spirit. Largely financed by Grand Duke Michael Mikhailovich of Russia, the hotel quickly became the go-to destination for the international elite, hosting film stars, royalty, and political figures. Classified as a historical monument in 1989, the Carlton has preserved its heritage while reinventing itself to meet contemporary demands.
The recent renovation of the Carlton Cannes was entrusted to architect Richard Lavelle and designer Tristan Auer. Together, they harmonized the hotel’s historic charm with modern and refined touches. The iconic facades were restored in respect of the original architecture, while the interiors elegantly blend classic elements with contemporary design. The common areas, bathed in natural light, offer a warm and welcoming atmosphere, reflecting the French art de vivre.
After two years of closure and five years of renovation, the Carlton Cannes offers a range of luxurious rooms and suites, each with panoramic views of the sea or the city. The 332 rooms, including 39 suites, are decorated with attention to detail, combining modern comfort and timeless elegance. They feature a soft and serene atmosphere, cream tones, minimalist furniture, a curved bench and geometric carpets. The prestigious suites, such as the Katara Suite and the Penthouse Suite, offer private terraces with views of the Bay of Cannes, spacious living areas and high-end amenities, ensuring an unforgettable experience.
The culinary experience at the Carlton Cannes lives up to its reputation. The Riviera Restaurant offers refined Mediterranean cuisine, highlighting local and seasonal products. For a more relaxed atmosphere, the Camélia Tea Lounge offers a selection of teas and pastries in an elegant setting. Bar 58, with its jazzy atmosphere, is the perfect place to enjoy creative cocktails in the evening. Finally, Rüya Restaurant invites guests on a culinary journey through Anatolian flavours, all with breathtaking views of the Mediterranean.
Guest well-being is a priority at Carlton Cannes. The C Club Spa offers a range of personalised treatments, including Swedish massages, body treatments and manicures/pedicures, all in a soothing environment. Facilities also include an infinity pool overlooking a lush garden, a state-of-the-art fitness centre and a hammam for absolute relaxation.
Carlton Cannes remains an iconic address where prestigious history meets modern luxury. Whether for a romantic stay, a business trip or a relaxing getaway, this legendary hotel promises an unforgettable experience on the Côte d’Azur.
