Bajo Las Hojas: Hotel in Campeche
In Campeche, Refugio Bajo Las Hojas offers a contemporary, minimalist hideaway filled with regional materials like chukum and palm.
A refuge in the city
Refugio Bajo Las Hojas – or Shelter Under the Leaves is located in the historic neighborhood of Guadalupe in the city of Campeche along the Gulf of Mexico. A long, narrow family home has been transformed into a small, intimate hotel by architect Paolo Sarra and the Punto Arquitectónico studio. The main materials used are chukum, wood and palm. Simple and comfortable, rooms feature woven light fixtures and earthy colors.
