Arbaso is located in the heart of San Sebastián, at Calle Hondarribia n° 24, five minutes from Bahía de la Concha beach. A privileged location steeped in history in the shadow of the Buen Pastor cathedral.

Arbaso takes its name from the word “ancestor”. The hotel has opened its doors in 2020. It is nestled in a 19th-century building that has been rehabilitated by the Fiark Arquitectos studio. The decoration was carried out by interior designers Arantxa Ania and Amaia Orrico, based in San Sebastian. The entire history of the hotel is based on the four elements of nature: Earth, Water, Fire and Air. Light is also one of the elements present in the design of Arbaso. Around the fireplace in the hotel reception, we find the work of the famous photographer Aitor Ortiz, “Muros de Luz”.

The hotel has 50 rooms and suites divided into 7 categories and with names linked to the environment. Each room is a very comfortable, spacious and bright space. They are decorated with noble materials such as oak doors, leather headboards, linen curtains, and designer objects such as walnut wood tables handcrafted by Arkaia, Flo reading lights designed by Norman Foster, Ondaretta chairs… Music is provided by the Marshall brand radio. The bathrooms have either a rain shower or a free-standing bathtub, and exclusive details such as Dyson hairdryers and Apivita toiletries. The Sua suite of 47 sqm on the top floor is arranged in a duplex, with a natural wood fireplace and a view of the Cathedral. The 53 sqm Zeruza suite with its living room and open bedroom is unique in the hotel.

Narru, the restaurant on the ground floor of the hotel, run by celebrity chef Iñigo Peña, offers traditional but meticulously crafted cuisine. The products are chosen each morning at the market. Narru has three spaces; the restaurant, the bar and the terrace.

Guests can pamper themselves during their stay in Arbaso in the fitness room equipped with state-of-the-art machines.
